Adequate back-stops, berms and/or bullet-traps are absolutely required to ensure safety at all times. The majority of targets do not stop bullets and are not bulletproof. Bullets pass through wood, silicone and other non-AR500 targets and will keep going until striking a material or object sufficient to stop it. When shooting, it is of the utmost importance that you check the field of fire and general area in which you are shooting for safe conditions.
